on the start of Voyage in the Dark
Play players Play
Play players Play
Dance costumed Monsters
Seek not the truth but
Find sorrow in other’s daylight
Drench the senses in their evenings
Put their skin on yours and
Play players Play
Wriggle your fingers in the glove
Let it snap upon your wrist
Stretch your hand in their hand
Hold their pulse between your palm lines
Wear their canary colored rings.
Play players Play
Button up tragedies
Unzip inner struggles.
Wring out the dripping puddles
Of self-satisfaction when you
Remove their sopping clothes
Dance costumed Monsters
And we’ll laugh; we’ll laugh
All along the sunken eyes and wrinkled lips
Of mere entertainment
Are but mirrors of our own.
