Poem 47 Revised

We built a city
Raised rocks to ruin
Stone by stone
A People’s peaked nation
We carved this city
Our hand-drawn filigree
Armless Athena
Well wandered shoes
We burned this city
Where men marched onward
Forward, downward,
Columns cocked groundward,
No city knows litany like we.
