Poem 120

humbly, for RC

Today they will say he was too young

And I will dip my head and sigh or cry
And say nothing…
Because I am young and we were peers
And though we strayed its fair to say
Death makes us bitter and shallow
Wear marks of disapproving sorrow
And say he was young he was young he was young
Because we all are… And any is a time too soon
